This bookmark was made in the US by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, NJ. It is an advertising bookmark for the G. W. Herrick & Co. women's shoes. The flower on top is a rose with its bottom petal cutout for the second blade. On the back is a calendar for May 1901 to April 1902. It also says "We manufacture our own shoes." The date is 1901.
